Our classes are a blast and based on functional fitness. We use positive reinforcement and high fives instead of military style yelling and endless hours on a treadmill.
This means that each of our classes is loaded with challenging, fun exercises designed to enhance your self-defense skills. Dynamic striking, high intensity intervals of cardio training, and movements that mimic how the human body should move are our focus.
Don’t worry if you feel as though you won’t be able to keep up. We work with all levels from total beginner to pro athlete. And you know what...they all sweat the same at the end of our workouts!

Ugh...fitness can be so boring! Luckily, we’re working out like super-star martial artists. Learning to use our entire body to protect ourselves and our families. In our awesome classes you’ll tighten up your core, gain lean muscle on your legs and arms, and have a blast.
No two workouts are ever the same and we DON'T use military style yelling or body shaming. After all we want you to have a ton of fun here, and keep coming back. American Martial Arts Academy
Our Stockton Krav Maga classes are developed from the mid-1930s Jewish / Israeli history. In those years, anti-Semitic thugs dominated Bratislava and terrorized Jewish citizens. But a man named Imi Sde-Or, also Jewish, became their champion by defending them on the streets.
Imi Sde-Or, in his many street fights, realized that boxing and wrestling had no place in the "real world". He was an Olympic contender in both, so no one knew boxing and wrestling better than he did. He took his experience on the street, combined it with what he already knew, and developed Krav Maga; a unique type of self-defense that utilizes natural instincts for self-protection. Our Stockton Kids Karate classes are not only geared towards excellent self-defense techniques, striking, and kicking - children ages 4 and up are taught self-discipline, focus, and respect. Parents of the students love our classes too because they have seen their kids become better behaved everywhere they go and often perform better in school.
We love to keep the kids engaged and attentive with a little bit of play! It's fun for kids, parents, and the instructors. Classes are packed with fun activities and games as kids improve techniques and have a blast!

They'll help teach martial arts to their friends... cut the birthday cake with a real sword (carefully supervised of course!)... and break a wooden board with just their hands or feet (if they've reached this level in their training). Stockton Kickboxing is such a powerful way to lose weight, get fit, and get in shape! These Kickboxing classes develop strength and stamina in your arms, your core, and your legs. That's because every kickboxing move works your entire body. Even a punch requires the twisting of the hips, which builds core strength, and the stability of the legs, increasing strength overall.
